oooDaily
painting is a practice where an artist paints a small painting almost
everyday. The practice appears to have been started a few years ago by
painters looking to form discipline and grow as artists. Every artist
has his or her own reasons. My reasons are basically to keep me pushing
the brush (discipline) and force new observations and experiences (growth).
It seems simple enough, but after a while the hunt for subject matter
forces an artist to scrutinize and observe in new and different ways.
In a sense, they must open up their eyes to the world around them.
oooThe work is posted on my blog, which you
may access via the button on the left of this page. These pieces will be
postcard size oil paintings that I create almost every weekday. Note the
caveat of "almost". There will be times when other projects or
commitments (life) might interrupt the process.
oooI hope you take the time to view the blog
and enjoy these pieces as much as I enjoy making them. Oh, I also reserve
the right to post other projects I may be working on, large or small. Enjoy! |
